SOME SUMMER LOVIN’
Summer is my second favorite season for clothing. I love summer fashion. In case you were curious, fall is my favorite season. I love Fall Outfits! Summer colors are my favorite; I love the lightness and freedom of summer fabrics.
Many style blogs discuss the latest trends and what’s in fashion. I wouldn’t say I like trends or buying clothing with an expiration date, so I am sharing 11 summer fashion tips. Look for classic styles, not trendy. These style tips are timeless and will be timeless.
SUMMER FASHION TIPS
LIGHT COLORS SPORT A BETTER PERFORMANCE THAN DARK
Lighter colors will keep you cool (black absorbs heat more effectively), and they have a better summer vibe. You could wear darker colors like black, violet, charcoal, or violet, but it won’t have the light, airy feeling that summer is known for.
NATURAL MAKEUP IS THE BEST
I don’t think there is anything worse than wearing too much makeup on a hot day. Summer is best when you use natural, light makeup. Heavy eyeliners, dark foundations, dark lipsticks, and heavy shadows do away. Use neutral eyeshadows, tinted moisturizers, nude, pink, and rose stains, and tinted balms.
A tinted moisturizer is a good choice unless you attend a summer event. Add a little liquid highlighter to your summer makeup routine for that summer glow. Apply a little highlighter to your bridge, cheekbones, and brow bones.
FLOWY TOPS & DRESSES, SKIRTS AND DRESSES ARE BETTER THAN FORMAT-FITTING
Summer calls for lightweight fabrics that can float in the breeze. Wear loose clothing to give off that summer-lovin’ feeling. Choose to clothe made from light cotton, silk or chiffon, and lace, lace, and chiffon. This applies to all clothing: tops, dresses, rompers and even shorts.
This is why I recommend it. Second, summer heats up, and clothing that is too form-fitting will make you and the clothes around you sweaty. Second, summer and flowy clothing go hand in hand.
Sexy OFF-THE-SHOULDER TOPS and DRESSES are ALWAYS AVAILABLE
In a few years, off-the-shoulder clothing has become more popular. They are in every store, and everyone is buying them. Off-the-shoulder tops, dresses and blouses are fashionable every summer. They are timeless fashion staples that can be worn year after year.
I have several off-the-shoulder dresses I love and am always looking for new ones. These are great for easy summer styling.
If you only have one handbag, get a NEUTRAL BLONDE.
A neutral brown is a good choice if you only plan to buy one summer handbag. You want a handbag that can be used over multiple summers and isn’t too structured. This bag is my summer staple, it goes with every summer outfit, and I know I will be using it again next year.
You’re looking for the perfect pair to wear in summer, but you don’t want them to go out of fashion by Labor Day. Buy aviators if your face shapes permit.
They are timeless and stylish. They are timeless and look great on both men and ladies. I purchased the blue aviators that I am wearing in this outfit post in January. I have been wearing them every day since.
HATS ARE A GREAT IDEA
Every person should have a hat. Likely, you haven’t yet found the right one. These sunglasses make a fashionable summer statement and protect your skin from the damaging sun rays.
Wide brim straw fedoras and rancher-style head hats are my favorites. These hats look the best on me and provide more sun protection than any beach hat. You can ask the owner of your local milliner to help you choose the right hat for you. It’s worth visiting a hat expert who knows which styles work best for different people.
WEAR JEWELRY IN EARTH TONES
Summer fashion is not for large, statement jewelry pieces in dark or jewel tones. Instead, look for earthy tones. You can find bracelets, necklaces and earrings in blues and gold, turquoise, pinks, browns, greens, or brightly patterned cotton bracelets.
I don’t like to wear many bracelets in the summertime, so I keep my necklace and earrings simple. My necklace is usually a delicate, thin, gold initial necklace and my earrings are gold studs.
OWN AT LEAST ONE STRIPED SHIRT
The perfect summer piece is a striped shirt. This classic, nautical shirt is easy to style with a range of summer outfits.
The classic three-quarter-length sleeve boat neck shirt with three-quarter sleeves in white or dark blue is the best option if you have only one striped shirt. The stripes aren’t too thick and are horizontal.
A striped shirt can be worn with almost any type of clothing: pants, shorts, skirts or denim.
